Why choose Kids on Rennie?
We are not just a long daycare centre. We aim to provide a home away from home, where children are loved, valued, nurtured and supported through their learning experiences.
Our philosophy is based on the belief that children are our community’s most precious treasure. We hold ourselves to high standards to ensure that each child, and each family, feels a strong connection to the Kids on Rennie community.
A centre created especially for 21st century learning
Our purpose built, new facility has been thoughtfully created having regard to best practices in early childhood education and care. Art spaces, outdoor areas, interactive learning tools and resources for sensory play all allow our children to make the most out of their day.
Relationships and connections
We believe that meaningful, warm and trusting relationships are critical for children and families to feel a sense of belonging and identity, and to ensuring the best education and care for children.
We are dedicated to forging a strong affiliation with the local Lara and Greater Geelong community.
Nutrition and active play
All meals will be prepared on site in our modern kitchen and are included in our fee. Our substantial outdoor space will encourage children to use their sensory and motor skills in a natural setting.
We believe in holistic wellbeing
Children are our community’s most precious treasure. In addition to their safety and education, each child’s physical, cognitive, social, emotional and psychological wellbeing is at the core of everything we do.
We focus on child safety
We place a strong emphasis on the Child Safety Standards, on zero tolerance for harm to children, and on protecting children. Our service is officially SunSmart and is a member of the SunSmart program operated by Cancer Council Victoria.
Passionate, experienced and enthusiastic educators
All educators are carefully selected based on their passion, their commitment to children’s safety and wellbeing, their professionalism and dedication to ongoing development, their demonstration of human virtues, and their warmth and compassion for children, families, and fellow educators.
We honour and respect children's rights, our land, and our environment
We make decisions that respect each child’s rights, culture, identity and strengths. We acknowledge the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. We are committed to sustainable practices and reducing our footprint on the environment.
