  • Breastfeeding information: Kids on Rennie is breastfeeding friendly. Information about breastfeeding for families is available from the Australian Breastfeeding Association.
  • National SunSmart program: Kids on Rennie is SunSmart. Find some tips and advices to families about how best to protect infants and children from ultraviolet radiation.
  • Road safety: Road safety education in childcare and at the home is critical. Your role is critical in helping children develop safe road skills. Find out more about how you can help your children travel safely.
  • Sustainability: Sustainability Victoria has some great tips on how to maintain sustainable practices in the home and in the workplace.
  • Lara Maternal and Child Heath Care service: A free service for all families with children from birth to school age. 
  • Local toddler time: Dance, sing and read along with your child at the local library’s Toddler Time program (check link for times and locations).
  • Lara markets: The Lara Community Market is a joint venture between the Lara Rotary Club and the Lara RSL. It is held on the second Sunday of every month from 9am to 1pm.
  • Serendip sanctuary: The sanctuary, near the Lara township, is the perfect place to learn about and experience birdlife and wetlands ecology.
